Cine Mar Movie Night

In early 2016 HHonolulu Events, a collective from Hamburg, Germany, presented its newest project: „Cine Mar – Movie Night“. Now the event series proceeds into the next round. Cine Mar is devoted to the love of the sea and all the wonderful stories the oceans tell us. The watersport enthusiasts set off in search of inspiring surf stories and came back with eight gems of the genre.

Cine Mar takes you to faraway countries, lonely beaches, steep cliffs, extraordinary people and their life at the ocean.

GIVEN – Given is the simple yet powerful story of the Goodwin-Family. Told through the visceral experience of a 6 y. old, Given follows legendary surfers Aamion and Daize Goodwin from their island home of Kauai through 15 different countries in the quest for surf and to fulfill a calling handed down through generations

THE SMILING BAG – Dion Agius takes you on an audiovisual journey which marks a new category in the genre of surf movies

WHAT IF YOU FLY – The Hawaiian artist Sean Yoro (a.k.a HULA) guides us in “What if you Fly” to freezing waters. The film documents an artistic work, which turned out to be harder to realize than first expected.
